West Valley employees teamed up with students from Roots High School to make Mother’s Day special for local refugee women. The team planted 300 hanging baskets and manned a drive through hosted by Utah Refugee Connection where they handed out the baskets and other useful gifts!
The Big Star teams donated a trailer full of pet food and supplies to local organization La Porte Adoption Center and Animal Shelter. Employees hauled in the supplies, deep cleaned the shelter, and spent time with the resident animals, giving them baths and snuggles!
Iowa employees packed hygiene kits with shampoo, conditioner, deodorant and more to give to schools in their area! Ken Garff Corporate employees teamed up with Junior Achievement to teach students at local Redwood Elementary about finances, economy, and careers. The lessons gave teachers a break and helped the students prepare for their future!
The downtown luxury employees hosted over 120 local students from Latinos in Action over two days at their dealerships. Students walked through the store and learned about career opportunities available to them at a dealership. The whole class got hoodies and some unforgettable luxury car experiences!
Employees at Ken Garff Mesquite packed 92 kits for Lifting Hands International! These kits included hygiene items, clothing, feminine products, diapers, wipes, soap, shampoo, toothpaste and other similar items. These kits will be sent to those around the world, especially in Turkey, Syria and Ukraine that are struggling and need resources.
When crisis center Wasatch Behavioral Health experienced water damage, Lehi employees jumped in to help redecorate their space! The teams redecorated the rooms, making the space more comfortable and homey for kids who need a place to stay.
The American Fork teams worked with American Fork City and Communities That Care to create a wellness and sensory room for ATEC, a school for adults with disabilities. With an underwater theme in mind, employees stripped and repainted the room light blue. After repainting, the room was filled with sensory items, wall art, and furniture!
Ken Garff partnered with the Utah Refugee Connection to host an International Women’s Day Celebration. Women employees from across the state came together with women from around the world to enjoy food from different cultures, dance, and celebrate their unique lives and stories!
