Ken Garff Ford Greeley – Weld Project Connect
Partnered with United Way of Weld County, for their Weld Project Connect. This day is organized to offer free services to low income and homeless members of the community. As a volunteer, you are partnered with a community member and you assist them with the various needs they have. You are their guide to ensure they are getting all the assistance they need. The project features more than 70 services ranging from health and wellness-based care and mental health and counseling to assistance for veterans and senior citizens, help and information with necessary documents, legal assistance, education, pets, water control and education. More than 25,000 people in Weld County, or 8% of the population, experience poverty, according to the Project Connect webpag. It is an opportunity to help someone within the community get the assistance they need.
