Out of the Darkness Walk with AFSP
Employees from Ken Garff dealerships across the Wasatch Front participated in and volunteered at the Sept. 6 AFSP “Out of the Darkness Walk” at Veterans Memorial Park in West Jordan. The Ken Garff Automotive Group served as the premier presenting sponsor as part of its Mental Health Matters initiative, which focuses on prioritizing mental health in the workplace.
“As part of our mental health initiative and broader philanthropic efforts, our involvement in the Out of the Darkness Walk reinforces our commitment to supporting causes that are important to our employees and the communities we serve,” said Jason Frampton, market president for Utah at the Ken Garff Automotive Group. “Through our partnership with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, we’re hoping to inspire other companies to normalize conversation around this topic and make mental health resources available to their employees.”
Garff employees, clad in matching T-shirts, participated in the walk, helped with greeting participants, and hosted a kids’ zone with carnival games and crafts.
