West Valley Dealerships – Roots Charter School Farm Project

Our West Valley dealership employees gathered at Roots Charter High School early on a hot September day to give a hand to the staff and students at Roots. The school has a farm that the students can get fresh produce from and sell anything they don’t utilize at the school. This has become an important resource for the school as it provides something for the students to rely on and help with as well as benefit from. Our employees worked on two major projects at the farm, prepping the perennial flower field for winter and taking down a field of invasive scotch thistles that have caused major problems for the farm animals. At the end of the hot morning the stores sponsored and ate lunch with all the students and staff. Finally, they gifted a check to help provide resources to the Child Development Class.
